I was born in a male body but my heart and mind were like that of a woman. But by reaching here today, I have proved that we also exist in society. ”29-year-old Tashnuva is the first transgender anchor in Bangladesh. He struggled hard to reach here.

Heard bad things, endured bad behavior as well. His family was also said to be very bad. But his life changed in just three minutes in March 2021. She was appointed by Bangladesh's private channel Boishakhi TV and on International Women's Day she first appeared to the world as a news anchor. "It is an important gesture to expose a very visible public figure from this community," says Kayle Knight, senior researcher at Human Rights Watch, who writes on Bangladesh's transgender community.
